At Bel-Air Cases, we know a thing or two about the transportation industry and how rough it can be on cases, boxes and luggage. If you have to ship something delicate or expensive, your transport cases need to feature an exceptional design that protects your items and absorbs the shock of multiple rounds of jostling and bumping.
Case Cost Vs. Replacement Value
You might be wondering if custom transport cases are worth the cost. The best way to decide is to compare the case cost with the replacement value of your equipment. Our heavy-duty custom shipping cases are built with ATA and MIL specifications in mind and designed to absorb impact, rather than passing that impact on to your equipment.
Obviously, a custom transport case or custom shipping case isn’t going to be just $40 or $50, but you won’t find many $900 cases on our site either. As a basic estimate, you can expect to pay about $400 each for five large heavy-duty shipping cases. If your equipment costs thousands of dollars, and a $300 or $400 case will protect this equipment from harm for many years, the value is pretty clear.
Keep in mind, that we do not sell off-the-shelf cases. Each of our transport cases is made-to-order from the inside out. Each case also includes a custom foam insert. We never just build a case and pass it off to you with a chunk of cheap diced foam. We design custom foam inserts that truly protect every inch of your equipment. Your case is built to last a lifetime, protecting your equipment through hundreds of trips via airplane, truck, boat, bus, train, chariot, Batmobile, helicopter or whatever method of transportation is required.
Which Custom Shipping Case Do You Need?
At Bel-Air Cases, we build many different types of custom plastic cases. We have light-duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty carrying cases; heavy-duty shipping cases; and expo cases ideal for transporting oddly-sized trade show displays.
For transport cases, we typically assume that you need heavy-duty cases that can withstand frequent transport. Heavy-duty carrying cases and heavy-duty shipping cases can be transported frequently, and they are perfect for delicate items that weigh more than 30 pounds.
The difference between the heavy-duty shipping cases and carrying cases lies in the design. Our custom shipping cases are built with protruding corner bumpers and stacking lugs for extra protection and stacking ability, while our heavy-duty carrying cases do not feature these design elements, making them durable yet easy to maneuver in tight quarters. Keep in mind we can add wheels and telescoping handles to any case, either a carrying case or a shipping case.
OEM Transport Cases
Do you have a product that needs a case? We can help. We can design OEM carrying cases as well as heavy-duty transport cases for your product. Over the years, we’ve built light-duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty OEM cases for a wide range of clients. This includes designing custom foam inserts specifically for your product for a truly professional and polished look.
Additionally, we can add molded-in logos, engraved plates or custom decals. When it comes to the color or your OEM case, our standard colors are black and silver, but we have several optional stock colors, including green, olive, white, yellow, blue, orange and red. With a minimum purchase, we may be able to provide you with custom colors or color matching.
With our OEM cases, you may or may not need heavy-duty transport cases. If you do need cases that can handle constant shipping and transport, we can provide you with what you need. But if you need some light-duty carrying cases, such as for sales kits or for lightweight items that aren’t particularly expensive or won’t be transported or shipped, we can provide you with those types of cases, as well.
No matter what type of transport cases you need, we are equal to the task. We design custom shipping cases for just about any industry imaginable, and can create a custom case for lighting equipment, video & motion picture equipment, photography equipment, military equipment, medical equipment, music equipment, sales kits and more.
