Medium-Duty Vs. Heavy-Duty Cases
At Bel-Air Cases, we offer two levels of carrying cases – medium-duty and heavy-duty, but which one is the best fit for you? Medium-duty cases are not meant to be shipped frequently as cargo, although they can be transported occasionally as airline luggage.
Typically, we recommend medium-duty cases for sales, OEM and on-site kits. These cases are ideal for client presentation, and our custom interior foam will show off your products to their best advantage. While our sleek and stylish cases are sure to impress any client, we often recommend adding a molded-in logo for an extra touch of personalization and professionalism.
However, if you want a highly durable carrying case that can handle hundreds of trips as cargo with ease, we recommend opting for our heavy-duty carrying cases. These are made from the same materials as our shipping cases, but we form them on our carrying case molds.
The result is a carrying case that’s lightweight and easy to transport, yet it offers the same level of protection as our heavy-duty cargo cases. If you need a military case or ATA case, these heavy-duty carry cases can be built to ATA and MIL specifications. Bel-Air Cases was the original manufacturer of the vacuum-formed plastic case. Vacuuming forming is a versatile process that allows us to craft cases in just about any size and configuration.
Our case shells are formed using high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which is one of the most durable case materials available. HDPE is impact-resistant, moisture-resistant, chemical-resistant and able to withstand temperature extremes.
Bel-Air heavy-duty carrying cases and heavy-duty shipping cases are meant to last a lifetime, and while we cannot guarantee that your cases will never be damaged (the transportation industry is rough on cases!), if a case component breaks, we’ll fix it. We stand by our cases throughout their lifetime, and we usually can repair most cases issues for no charge (shipping costs may apply).
